FDIC Insurance Coverage Permanently Increased to $250,000 – MMF Produces Signs Reflecting New Standard

On July 21, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which, in part, permanently raises the current standard maximum deposit insurance amount to $250,000.

The FDIC has issued new artwork for the signs and all related updated brochures will be released soon.

The new signs will look like this:

MMF Industries is acquiring the artwork from the FDIC and the new signs will be available in August.

The first North American Office Products Awards (NAOPA) took place at the SP Richards annual Advantage Business Conference at the Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida, last week.

The awards were organized by OPI and the awards ceremony was presented by OPI’s Chief Executive, Steve Hilleard.

“The awards program was conceived to deliver appropriate recognition of the creativity and innovation which drives the North American office products sector,” said Hilleard. “Judging by the volume and quality of the entries we received, the sold-out audience at the dinner, and the very enthusiastic response given to the winners that evening and on their booths at the ABC expo, it’s fair to see that we’re off to a flying start. I look forward to developing the program in 2011.”
